2026 Sees Accelerated Greening of Metal Oxidation Processes: Chrome-Free & Low-Energy Consumption Become Industry Standards

Release time:

2026-05-03

At the beginning of 2026, the metal oxidation treatment industry has achieved a dual upgrade in environmental protection and performance. Driven by policies and high-end demand, chrome-free passivation, green electrolytes, and near-zero wastewater discharge have become mainstream trends. Many enterprises have launched complete trivalent chromium / chrome-free passivation solutions. For cast aluminum and die-cast aluminum workpieces, the neutral salt spray resistance can reach more than 144 hours, far exceeding traditional processes, while meeting EU RoHS and China’s “Dual Carbon” requirements.

Micro-arc oxidation (MAO) technology is accelerating its application, expanding from aerospace to new energy vehicles and energy storage structural components. Compared with traditional electroplating, the film hardness, salt spray resistance and wear resistance are improved by 3–5 times, with a significantly extended service life. Intelligent oxidation production lines are widely equipped with MES/DMS full-process monitoring, enabling traceable process parameters and stable mixed-line production of various products. The yield rate has increased to 99%, comprehensive energy consumption has decreased by 15%–20%, and the wastewater reuse rate has exceeded 80%.

Industry forecast: The penetration rate of green oxidation processes will rise rapidly in 2026. Non-compliant small factories will be phased out at an accelerated pace, and leading enterprises will seize high-end orders with their environmental qualifications and stable yield rates.

Adhering to the principle of “Quality First, Customer Foremost”, the company is dedicated to providing all-round services.
